Description of the problem	Factory radio in 2007 jeep wrangler began overheating during the summer of 2009. Overheating was causing extremely loud popping noise to be broadcast over all speakers in vehicle. Vehicle was taken to dealer and inspected, radio was replaced. Problem seemed to be fixed however; the weather temperature had cooled by that time so it was unclear as to whether the situation had been alleviated. In october 2009 the problem began occurring once again, this time when the defrost and heat was turned on. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection again. The dealer stated that the heat from the defrost and the heater was causing the radio to become extremely hot. The popping noise was due to this overheating process that was occurring. Chrysler corporation was notified and a complaint was filed however they state that they have no solution at present and there have not been enough instances to warrant a recall. They have offered no remedies other than empty apologies. We are afraid to turn on the radio in the vehicle for fear that it will cause a fire. The dealer states that they cannot guarantee that this will not happen. Furthermore the popping poses a hazard if it occurs while driving down the road as it is so sudden and so incredibly loud.
