| Description of the problem | As i was driving at 50 mph on a level road; the engine and electrical system on my 2007 jeep wrangler completely failed. Just as quickly as the engine/electrical cut out (within 1-2 seconds) all the dash board lights illuminated and the engine restarted on its own. What made this event a danger to me and possibly others on the road is when the engine died i also lost power steering. This causing me to move into oncoming traffic (i was rounding a sweeping corner at the time). When the engine restarted it caused the power steering to immediately come back which in turn caused a quick jerk back into my lane of travel. This was an extremely dangerous maneuver given the type of vehicle this is. This seems to be an ongoing issue with many 2007 jeep wranglers. *jb |
