| Description of the problem | The gas tank can not be filled without constantly re-starting the fuel pump, it stops every few seconds, it happens at every gas station or any fuel pump, so it is definitely not the pump but a problem with the jeep gas tank and/or it's components. It got worse over the last few weeks and months and is to the point now where it takes me 10-15 minutes to fill up 11 -15 gallons of fuel. The gas tank was replaced under a recall back in 2011 (at approx. 34000 miles) where with the old tank the fuel pump would not stop in time when full and therefore it resulted in the "spill-back" problem every time. This problem was fixed with replacement after recall, but now i have the problem that i just have this extremely difficult time filling the tank. |
