| Description of the problem | Ii bought a 2018 jeep renegade with a manual transmission in nov 2018. In jan 2019 the cruise control failed. I have had the vehicle in the shop 7 times since then for them to fix it. The 7th time they had it for 90 days and after consulting with jeep engineers in the u. S. And italy, where it is manufactured, they have concluded that they do not have a fix for the problem. Please see attached document for all the particulars. What is not noted are the other fixes they tried in prior visits, which was to replace the buttons on steering wheel, the wiring harness, and the actual cruise control unit. Since there is an internal memory fault with reading the speed sensor, i feel that this vehicle is unsafe to drive. Chrysler and the dealership are both refusing to buy the vehicle back. |
