| Description of the problem | My car stalled and turned off while driving. I was in motion turning from one road onto another in july 2020 and again 2x on dec 23rd, 2020 without any warning. In july the dealer told me it was a "safety feature" for the engine to turn off if the oil is low. It had been 4,729 miles since my last oil change done by the jeep dealer with synthetic oil (which is good for 6,000 miles). When i had the oil checked after it stalled on dec 23rd the oil was 4 quarts low! There is currently a recall for other 2017 jeep renegades with the 2. 4l engine, but my vin is not included. There was a class action lawsuit for my year make and model car filed on july 21st, 2020 for this same exact problem. |
