Description of the problem	I purchased my car back in may of 2018 and have noticed inconsistencies with my fuel consumption as well as a strange kicking feeling when driving at times. I received a notice in the mail in december shortly after going in for some maintenance which detailed the underlying issue. It said that the current fuel pump module on this car is prone to cavitation and that the spontaneous loss of fuel may result in a "sudden loss of motive power, which may cause a vehicle crash without prior warning." i called the number provided on the notice and was again informed that there are no parts available currently to remedy this issue. The call center rep also indicated that the issue was made public in october. When i asked if there was any timeframe for how long it might take for the needed part to materialize, i was told that there was "none at this time." i am very disappointed that the manufacturer would produce cars with such a glaring problem then not offer any specific remedies or solutions for the people driving them. They recognize the part has to be replaced but this is obviously not a priority for them as they have not provided a solution for months now. The only solution i have been offered was to be reimbursed for select damage to the vehicle that may occur after the fact. I believe that is blatant irresponsibility on the part of the manufacturer and would like this part made available as soon as possible as i am now in a position that i can no longer reliably travel in the vehicle i
