| Description of the problem | 2017 jeep renegade trailhawk 4x4 with 35000 miles. Stalled twice on me in the last two days. Both times i was going less than 15mph turning onto a street. Engine just died and it told me to put in in park. I did and the first time it started again after some sputtering. Second time it took several attempts before the car would start. Also, the low oil pressure indicator comes on randomly for a split second sometimes when i turn the vehicle. I had the same problem about 8 months ago. I took it to the dealer and they told me the transmission computer needed to be updated. They did that and it seemed to fix the issue until it happened again this week. I am taking it to the dealer again tomorrow and asking them to check the oil pump to see if it is cracked even though my specific jeep is not on the recall list. |
