| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2017 jeep renegade. While driving approximately 25 mph, the contact attempted to slow down and depressed the brake pedal. When the brake pedal was released, the vehicle lost acceleration and stalled. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and "press the brake pedal, push start button to start engine" appeared on the message center. After a couple of attempts, the vehicle restarted. The vehicle was not diagnosed by the dealer or an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 35,000. |
