| Description of the problem | For the past couple of mornings (since the weather has been cooler at night) after starting the car and driving a couple of blocks, the car will suddenly stop in the street with no warning and the screen will flash "the car must brake before shifting gears". When attempting to restart the car, it takes several attempts. No flashing engine lights on the control panel and no code for the dealership to diagnose the issue (i was there today). I have been fortunate that no other car was behind me or i would certainly have been rear ended. Once the car has warmed, the problem does not occur for the rest of the day. So far, it has only occurred first thing in the morning with the temp below 68 degrees. I am concerned about this issue as the car suddenly stopping in the middle of the road is a real danger. |
