Description of the problem	I found a serious safety concern with jeep renegades like mine. Like many owners, i bought a jeep to be safe in the snow. I no longer feel safe. I had a minor smog fault (evap) and while driving, the check engine light came on. As soon as the light is on, the four wheel drive will not engage. This left me stranded on a snowy day with no four wheel drive for an irrelevant problem. This is the case for all jeep renegades and possibly other fiat made models. It is not satisfactory. This behavior of four wheel drive being cut out is, i found, well documented on various internet user groups. I would prefer if they reprogram my vehicle so the four wheel drive stays available no matter what.
