| Description of the problem | While at a full stop at a stop light, the car attempted to accelerate to 40 mph. A red lightning bolt lit up on the dash. The car was shut down. When the car was restarted, the check engine light came on. The car still randomly attempts to accelerate under all and any driving conditions. So far the acceleration sensor has been replaced with no avail. Currently trying another service group to isolate and correct the problem. The vehicle is dangerous because there is no predictable pattern to the random accelerations. The date noted is the last occurance. We've been attempting to get the vehicle repaired since july 18, 2018. |
