Description of the problem	We have a jeep patriot 2016 and were told that there was a recall on it for the crankshaft sensor which effects the starter. We have been having issues with the jeep starting and told by a mechanic that it was under recall. We took it to the jeep dealer and they scheduled it to be fixed. We were then called and told that this vehicle missed the recall date by 2 months so it would not be covered by the recall and it would cost to have this fixed. It is the same issue that has been reported on other 2016 jeeps and this should be a recall on this vehicle as well. We are now having to pay to have this repair done when vehicles of the same year were recalled for the same issue! The vehicle was stationary when the issue started and it would not start. We actually had it hooked up to read what the issue was also. It identified an issue with the crankshaft sensor. The same reported recall issue!
