| Description of the problem | Vehicle loses power unpredictably while in motion. Occurs in various scenarios, including during a complete stop, accelerating, decelerating, and cruising (occurs at all speeds 0-75 mph). Vehicle maintains electrical power but loses thrust, power steering, and brake pressure. Car needs to be turned off, and on occasion the engine will not turn over when attempting to re-start. Will have to wait several minutes. Occurs mostly after the vehicle has been driving for at least a short distance, then turned off for 5-10 minutes minimum. When vehicle restarts, the operator is at risk for failure. Jeep dealership has replaced the trottle body and issue persisted. Returned to jeep, they replicated the engine failure but cannot identify an issue. |
