| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2014 jeep patriot. While driving 25 mph at night, the rear passenger seat belt malfunctioned. Upon coming to a complete stop, the seat belt gradually tightened around the child. The contact made multiple attempts to loosen the seat belt and had to cut it to remove the child from the restraint system. A dealer and the manufacturer were not made aware of the failure.
