| Description of the problem | Electronic throttle control light began to go off. Rpms were running higher than normal. After the sensor triggered twice, no problems other than rmps running high. 5 days after the initial warning light, upon stopping at a traffic light and resuming acceleration, check engine came on, then electronic throttle control, then traction control. This continued to happen every time the car had to decelerate or stop and the rpms dropped below 1. At one point, it stalled. I had to pull over, stop the car and restart it. If you were driving on a highway with continuous gas there wasn't a problem. The diagnostic repair is the throttle body housing needs to be replaced. |
