| Description of the problem | Engine started to overheat after a weekend drive. Warning light came on as we were parking. Took it in to get coolant temperature sensor replaced, coolant flush, and thermostats replaced. Come to find out the head gasket blew and damaged the piston rings. I need a new engine! There was no warning of high engine temperatures until 5 seconds before we parked! Car was always maintained. The engine had 79,000 miles. |
