| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2012 jeep patriot. The contact stated that he was driving approximately 68 mph with the cruise control engaged. The contact was approaching an off ramp and tapped the brakes to disengage the cruise control however, immediately after depressing the brakes the vehicle stalled. The contact tried restarting the vehicle but it would not respond. The vehicle was later towed to the dealer. After diagnosis, the technicians advised him that the fuel pump and the fuel lines between the fuel tanks needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired for two fuel pumps and the lines in between. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000. The current mileage was approximately 3,500. The vin was unavailable. |
