Description of the problem	2011 jeep patriot was purchased brand new sept 2011. Just had it in the shop as something was not right and causing our tire to wear unevenly. Their inspection found the sub frame is now rotted out due to rust after only 6 years! This vehicle has also been very well maintained. This is bull crap. Thank god we noticed ours before something catastrophic happened, but this has very real potential to cause serious injury or deaths if the frame were to fail while driving. And there are tons and tons of complaints regarding this everywhere online. Chrysler just doesn't want to deal with it. Total bull crap. Took it to the dealer to have it fixed under the extended warrenty that was put in place because of this issue, and of course they say there are lots of other parts that are connected to the sub frame that also need to be replaced which are not covered. So basically this 6 year old car isn't worth fixing. Something needs to be done. There were also other safety recalls for this same model.
