Description of the problem	This vehicle is total junk. I just replaced the under carriage that holds the engine up because it rusted out. This should not rust out for the lifetime of a vehicle. In addition, i have replaced the transmission, the alternator, the starter and the ball joints twice. The second time i replaced the ball joints was due to the under carriage rusting out. This vehicle is 5 years old and does not have 100,000 miles on it. I have repeatedly complained about this car to deaf ears even though the service tech at the dealership told me that he has replaced several alternators and under carriages on this vehicle, chrysler jeep does not acknowledge a defect. The under carriage is a safety hazard because if it breaks the driver will lose control of the steering. I firmly believe the jeep patriot is manufactured with inferior parts and chrysler jeep should recall these vehicles for the under carriage. I would not recommend this vehicle to anyone. I have put over $4000. 00 in major repairs into this car.
