| Description of the problem | My car started making a whining noise and had problems with acceleration, like the gears were finding it hard to lock in properly. It's an automatic transmission. After the snowstorms, i took it to a chain franchise to check it out and was told that jeep put a mercedes transmission in the car, that it's not meant for this make or model, that it's a defect because the pump wore out and that jeep will not pay to replace/repair and that even though the car is under 50,000, that i have to pay close to four thousand dollars to repair/replace. The mechanic at the chain franchise said that this part just wore out because it wasn't intended to be used in the mechanics for this car. |
