| Description of the problem | Rotting subframes, front and rear. Engine drain drips onto front subframe, keeping the subframe wet and causing it to rust out. Jeep recalled the 2007 model year to replace the subframes but not the 2008 year, yet the design flaw persists. Rotting subframe caused vehicle to fail annual nh state inspection. Vehicle was built and sold in what chrysler calls a "rust belt". So, chrysler confirms the problem but only fixes it for 2007, not 2008. |
