Description of the problem	We started to have a loud clunking noise in the front driver side of our car when we drove it. Thinking it was something in the wheel, we had a mechanic look at it. He told us the engine cradle was rusted out to the point that it was not safe to drive. Had it towed to a jeep dealer, said it was a good thing we didn't try to drive it. It was possible that the engine could have fallen out it we hit a pot hole on the way there. Contacted jeep, they refuse to do anything about it. In my research i have discovered that this issue has happened in 2007, 2008, and 2009 jeep patriots.
