| Description of the problem | This 2007 jeep patriot began having issues with the cvt aproximately one year after i purchased (2011). While driving home from work on the highway vehicle slowed to about 10 mph then chugged quite a bit before refusing to start again. Replaced transmission twice at $3,500 (2012) for the first and $4,500 (2013) for the second one, also purchased the 5 year warrenty on the second cvt trany. Vehicle is in the shop every 3 months to work on transmission as of today (8-6-2015), which is very frustrating. |
