| Description of the problem | Filling the vehicle with fuel causes it to buck and stall. Waiting 5-10 minutes after it stalls and the vehicle runs normally. Only happens when filling the vehicle, putting in fuel to less than full does not cause the problem. According to my mechanic, the problem may the roll over valve allowing fuel into the charcoal canister/emissions system. My research on the internet confirms the problem with other 2007 jeep patriots and other model years as well. Nhtsa defect investigation #dp17002 |
