| Description of the problem | My jeep patriot is stalling after fueling. It seems to lose power & may sputter also before stalling. I can also smell a strong fuel or chemical smell when this happens. It has become a dangerous problem seeing as how it occurs after fueling and i have to pull out into traffic after leaving the gas stations. It has happened at large intersections where i have almost gotten hit by other vehicles or caused an accident for other motorists trying to avoid my stalled vehicle. So far, my jeep will start after stalling so i can continue on my way. It is a very scary situation when it happens and the fear of an accident is profound. |
