| Description of the problem | The throttle control light came on while driving and the car's speed dropped to zero causing me to quickly pull off the road, it would not accelerate. The mechanic found that the throttle control module/throttle body has to be replaced. This part is currently on national backorder since there are over 700 other jeep owners with this same issue. This is a dangerous malfunction since your car just dies in the middle of traffic and you could easily be in a severe accident due to the malfunction. This seems to be happening to hundreds of other jeep owners, it seems like this should be a recall for a part malfunction. |
