| Description of the problem | 2007 jeep patriot fwd - during a routine oil change they stated that the lower ball joint was showing wear and would need replaced soon. Vehicle is only 3 years old, not taken "off roading" and only has 30,000 miles on it. I have searched and noted numerous others stating the same exact issues with the same exact model. Where is the recall??? Of course the dealer says the vehicle is out of warranty by 3 months. You also can't just replace the ball joint you have to replace the control arm as its an assembly - and you have to replace both sides at the same time - holy money pit-! |
