| Description of the problem | 2009 jeep patriot: manual gear clutch failure at 14,000 miles and 14 months since new. Warranty expires on this item at 12,000 miles and 12 months. The jeep was not driven aggressively or off road. A clutch should last much longer. I spoke to chrysler / jeep warranty department several times and they refused to assist, dealer installed new clutch for $1,060. 00. I believe the clutch is not strong enough or is substandard for this vehicle and should be replaced with a stronger one at no charge. |
