Description of the problem	I cannot put fuel into the vehicle without it continuously shutting the gas off after a few seconds. I have been told that the entire gas tank needs to be replaced. I found a technical service bulletin (tsb 14-001-09 rev. A) that addresses the exact same issue with other chrysler automobiles, but the 2009 jeep patriot is not included. My online research has uncovered other jeep patriot owners who have experienced the exact same issue with no recourse but to pay out-of-pocket for a new fuel tank. I have been quoted $1400. 00 to have the fuel tank replaced. I do not understand why chrysler jeep is not taking responsibility for this issue with the 2009 patriot. I would be interested in knowing how many jeep patriot owners had to have their gas tanks replaced and if chrysler jeep has repair records of gas tank replacements done in their repair shops. What happens if someone cannot afford to have this fixed?
