| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2008 jeep patriot 4x4. While parked, the contact noticed water leaking from the map light headliner onto the interior roof of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostics. The technician stated that the drain tubes would have to be cleaned. After the drain tubes were cleaned, the failure persisted. The technician stated water had built up in the side panels and rear cargo area. The water was drained but the failure continued. The vehicle was taken to the dealer approximately ten different times. The contact stated the moisture in the vehicles computer was causing electrical failures. While parked, the engine continued to run after the key was removed from the ignition. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 37,000. |
