| Description of the problem | Everytime wife fills the fuel tank, the engine shuts off. 80% of the time it happens in the intersection leaving the fuel station. She has almost been in numerous accidents because of this problem. She looses power steering as the pump is no longer running because the engine has shut down. Jeep dealer says this is a common safety problem, and that the fuel tank is the culprit. The overflow valve on the fuel tank is faulty. There are numerous complaints with other owners with the same safety issue. This need to be a recall before someone gets killed. |
