| Description of the problem | Tl*the contact owns a 2007 jeep patriot 4x4. While driving 10 mph, the vehicle rolled backwards when it was placed into neutral. The vehicle was placed back into drive and then shut off. The contact placed the vehicle in park once again and was able to be restarted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they were able to duplicate the failure. The dealer stated that the transmission was designed to perform in that manner. The failure mileage was 19,070 and the current mileage was unknown. |
