| Description of the problem | Much as we discovered with other complaints regarding the fuel/propulsion system on carcomplaints. Com the issue is that when the vehicle is fueled up even if you stop when the gas dispenser clicks off the car inevitably stalls and shuts off just a few minutes after the car is started and in motion. The stalling can occur when you get out into traffic, on highway, city street which can be a very dangerous situation. This has happened 20 times, at least, in our 2007 jeep patriot since purchasing the vehicle in october 2017. This has been a very well documented issue in the 2007 jeep patriots and apparently has to do with the charcoal canister which in order to fix, the entire gas tank has to be replaced. |
