| Description of the problem | After leaving a gas station and driving about a half of mile down the road, my car started to stall. I then had to put my car in park and completely turn it off and turn it back on. When i went to turn it back on, it did not start up right away. Then the next red light that i stopped at, which was a half of mile after the first stop, my car stalled again. I then put the car back in park, put my flashers on and restarted the car. Now every time i fill my tank to full the car stalls. It is very scary and when i took it to the mechanic, he said it would cost about $1000 to replace the gas tank. Apparently, there is a valve that prevents the gas from leaking out if the car were to ever rollover. In order to fix this problem, i was told that the whole gas tank would have to be replaced. |
