Description of the problem	This vehicle has a start/stop "feature" that shuts the engine off when stopping at a stop light and restarts when foot taken off brake. It has a delay of a couple of seconds to restart the engine, during which time the vehicle cannot be driven. The system can be turned off with a switch in the vehicle, but it has to be done every time the car is started - if the driver remembers. The system is working correctly, however i have almost been rear-ended several time because the system is slow to react. It is a major issue if you are in an intersection attempting to make a left turn - the delay has almost gotten us killed twice (no actual accident - yet). I was told by our jeep dealer, and have read online, that there is no way to permanently bypass this feature for the safety of the driver. I believe there should be an option on these vehicles to turn this feature off permanently so that it will stay turned off the next time the car is started.
