| Description of the problem | While driving with the adaptive cruise control engaged the vehicle braked itself hard extremely slowing the car down on the highway. There were no cars in front or in other lanes when this happened. Had a car been following me i would most likely been rear ended. Took the vehicle to the dealer and, after checking out the vehicle, they indicated that they could not duplicate the problem, that the software was up to date, and that the acc system is "working as designed." this is a major safety issue that under different circumstances could have resulted in a serious accident with injuries or worse. |
