| Description of the problem | The sunroof on my 2014 jeep grande cherokee srt spontaneously exploded as i was driving 70mph on interstate 5 in oregon. Traffic was minimal at 3:45 pm. It was 54 degrees outside and the weather was clear. It had rained earlier in the day. The explosion sounded like a gunshot blast in my ear. It was very scary and extremely dangerous. There was absolutely no warning, no cracks, no leaks. I did have the automatic cover open to let light in, but the sunroof itself was closed. The glass exploded up and out, so i am fortunate that i only had a dusting of glass that fell around me. Definitely, the most frightening experience i have ever had while driving. |
