Description of the problem	Had issues with gear shifter since purchase. Had an accident in a parking lot. I parked my car and wanted to leave it running, put the car in park. Stepped out of my car and walked into the store. I was alerted that my car had backed across the parking lot and hit another car. The car was in reverse. Men in the parking lot were yelling at me asking why i would get out of car with it in reverse. Obviously, not what i did. Problem seems to have become worse. It now can take 3 tries to get the car all the way into park. My vehicle is still damaged. The other vehicle was much worse. I managed to put tail lights etc back in temporarily. The corner panel is popped out on drivers side with scratches on rear of car. I called the troy police and they said because it was a parking lot, they didn't need to come and write a report.
