| Description of the problem | Vehicle equipped with forward collision warning (fcw) has inadvertently applied the brakes, slowing the vehicle down, with no vehicle or obstruction ahead. This has occurred multiple times and more frequently sounds the i-brake alert with no vehicle or obstructions ahead. The risk potential to lose control or be rear ended is high. This has occurred while driving at 30mph on a street and 60mph while on a highway. The jeep dealer has been unable to determine any causes or fixes throughout the last year. The safe noted 12/2/19 is the last time the braking has occurred but has been occurring since 2018. |
