| Description of the problem | The active head restraint (headrest) of my jeep deployed while driving down the highway causing me to swerve into the other lane. Luckily, there weren't any cars immediately around me so i was able to regain control and continue on without injury. I believe this could be a very dangerous defect in other situations. The active head restraint is intended to go off in a collision to prevent whiplash from airbag deployment as far as i understand. My vehicle was not in an accident or touched in any way, simply traveling straight down the highway. This was confirmed by an inspection at the local jeep dealership. |
