Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2014 jeep grand cherokee. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v240000 (power train); however, the part for the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. When the contact activated the air conditioner while the vehicle was still in park, it suddenly began to reverse. The vehicle reversed onto the neighbor's yard where it came to a stop. There were no injuries. The rear driver side of the vehicle was damaged. The vehicle was inoperable. The contact called the north point chrysler dealer who stated that the remedy was not available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened case number: 31950316. The manufacturer also stated that the remedy would not be available for another month and a loaner vehicle could not be provided. The approximate failure mileage was 31,500.
