| Description of the problem | License plate lamps ceased functioning. Obvious signs of excessive heat being generated. Original replacement lamps are discontinued. Manufacturer states that i have to purchase a new wiring harness and lamps for around $260 for parts only. This appears to be a design defect as the original lamps have been discontinued and the manufacturer has redesigned the lamps and harness. Illumination of the license is required and the consumer should not have to pay an excessive amount to fix their design problem. This could be a fire hazard if the original lamps heat up. I have attached a photo showing the dark burn marks in the original lamps |
