Description of the problem	We have a 2014 jeep grand cherokee ecodiesel 3. 0 which is part of the overall class action lawsuit with the epa and carb. We went through the process, received the software update & remuneration for the loss in value on the vehicle from fca. Fca clearly indicated in its literature regarding the settlement that the performance, mileage, adblue/bluedef usage, etc. Would not be affected (see attached information showing the emissions software update) however, our experience has been quite the opposite as i understand is common place after the upgrade. Fca did not adequately represent the major performance changes that were to be expected by the emissions software update & downplayed any issues. The main issues that we have encountered since the update include: 1. The check engine light coming on 3-4 times; 2. A major and dangerous hesitation/lag of the vehicle when you start it & attempt to accelerate-especially when the vehicle has been sitting for a period of time. 3. A highway mileage decrease from an average of 27-28mpg to 19-21mpg; 4. Significant increase in the use of blue-def; we have had to take the jeep in for service to check the check engine light several times & it is again in the shop yesterday/today for the same issues. At this point, we believe that fca did not correctly represent & repair the ecodiesel 3. 0 engine in our jeep grand cherokee & as a result of the upgrade, our performance has greatly diminished and we have suffered with a non-performing vehicle. We ask that nhtsa lodge a formal complaint on our behalf and be made aware of the continued issues with the vehicles & the misrepresentation of the performance issues.
