Description of the problem	At the time when the manufacturers warranty has just run - the oil filter adapter bracket has started leaking causing oil loss in the engine. This was found by the oil spots on the driveway that were never there before. I searched online and found tsb sb-10058301-5939 in the nhtsa web site. The tsb tells the mechanic to use a wooden dowel pushed down along the front of the engine oil filter into the "valley" and when it is pulled out to look for oil on the tip. This is exactly what i found. The oil finds its way around the block and along the transmission and drips off the shield onto the ground. This is a very expensive repair as the part alone is rumored to be $799 plus the labor. It is an design flaw in that it is a plastic part where previously it was a metal part - cost savings that created a defect. So far -i have not been able to get the dealer to pay for the repair. And i can not afford the repair on my own. This should be a recall because of the possibility of a fire when the oil is laying on top of a hot engine is a puddle.
