Description of the problem	68105583af - this is a 2014 specific part which appears to be a problem on many 'pentastar v6' engines from chrysler. Multiple vehicle models - same engine - same cooler. This housing is made of plastic and exposed to heat while directly on top of the engine- the plastic and its angle relative to the engine lends itself to the lack of durability of the component. Since the cartridge oil filter sits at an angle, pressure is applied at the shoulder causing cracks around the housing during tightening at oil changes. The plastic needs to be made thicker or made out of some different and more durable material. Further, the consumer needs to be notified that this is a real issue and can appear to be coming from the transmission area when in fact it is not. Definitely not safe that an unwitting driver can find themselves out of oil possibly in the middle of nowhere. I am willing to submit photos once i am able to replace this.
