Description of the problem	My steering control module has a short circuit causing my electronic stability control light to flash and my blinkers and windshield wipers not to work. I took it to my local mechanic and he said module need to be replaced and there is an open recall. Recall p64/ nhtsa 14v-636 - which applies to my model year and describes my problem exactly. I called the chrysler recall department and they are saying this recall does not apply to my vehicle and they will not fix it free of charge. I have two young children and the recall says this could cause a crash without warning. Asked to speak to a supervisory and "non was available." i am worried for the safety of my family and i cant pay $1000+ to fix this when this is a known problem. I have an appointment at my local jeep serivce dealer next week but i am worried they will not apply this recall, considering what chrysler corporate is saying.
