| Description of the problem | My husband and i financed our jeep about 8 months ago and it had been running fine. No problems at all. We don't drive it often. A couple weeks ago we went to start it and all the dash lights came on and it wouldn't go into gear. It said put it in park and then select gear or something like that. We called gresham toyota ( where we bought the jeep) and they said to tow it over so they could run diagnostics. After towing it there they said we had to toe it to keep because they can't do diagnostics. We towed it to gresham jeep and they said we broke the shifter. How do you break a shifter??? I know we didn't break the shifter and it has to be some sort of a defect. It's now costing us $1400. 00 to fix. I can only imagine what this would have done if it happened while we were driving. |
