Description of the problemThe horn and rear wiper began to go off automatically along with the console screens flashing resulting in the vehicle turning off at a stop light. After getting it started back up, while on the freeway (70 mph), the horn began honking on its own again and i was afraid the vehicle would turn off on the freeway resulting in a potentially disastrous situation so i exited the freeway and carefully proceeded to the jeep dealership where after a few days they diagnosed it with a faulty total integrated power module (tipm). It was apparently not covered due to the fact that i had approximately 38k miles, instead of 36k of below. How can an electrical system fail due to "normal wear & tear"? I feel this should have been covered under warranty instead of becoming an out of pocket expense for me. I'm nervous about driving my vehicle even after the tipm was replaced; it doesn't feel the same.
