Description of the problem	On 9/6/19 while traveling at a low rate of speed on a four lane road the driver's side headrest "exploded" propelling the front half of the headrest violently forward. This caused a hard hit to the back of my head that left me stunned. I was unsure of what happened until i was stopped at a light and could see that it had split forcing the front half into my head. If i had been traveling at a higher rate of speed or merging onto the nearby interstate that was my destination, this impact likely would have caused me to have an accident. The hit was so forceful that i am concerned it may have done some damage to my neck, so i may have to seek medical care. Once i got home i did a google search and found many reports and lawsuits regarding this defect in the active head restraint headrest on chrysler/ jeep products. I am the original owner of this vehicle and it has never been in an accident. Surely this issue merits a recall.
