| Description of the problem | Received email from son about power steering hose leaking which could cause a fire after we purchased 2013 jeep grand (purchased on may 31). Went to check for leakage... Found leakage. Went to dealer, they couldn't determine leakage eventhough informed them where to look. I went back to the shop area and instructed them where to look; finally the technician did find the leak ... Due to a power steering pump crack. So in your investigation for power steering hose causing fires, investigate for the pump also. We are still checking daily for leakage, eventhough the pump was replaced. Power steering fluid has been added, and fluid is still disappearing !! |
